Fishing and hunting isn't the only thing to do in Montana. Last night the Zac Brown Band played in Bozeman at the Brick Breeden Field House so Jill and I fought the craziness around the MSU campus to see the show. There was the State Championship boys football going on, an MSU orchestra concert, the Cat/Griz game the next day and probably a bunch of other stuff.
We tried to find a place to eat with a good friend from UWP, Jake Liudahl and his wife Shawna, at around 5:30pm but EVERY place had about an hour and a half wait. The concert was suppose to start at 7:00 so we grab sandwiches at the Pickle Barrel and a 6 pack of Blue Moon at the gas station and ate at the ice-cream shop connected to the Pickle Barrel. It was perfect. Then we had to find parking at the concert...
We wound up finding our seats at around 8 o'clock. The beer lines were absolutely ridiculous so we scratched that and probably saved a twenty spot. Zach Brown didn't start until about 8:35 so we were all good.
The show was awesome. I don't know a lot of stuff from ZBB but what I heard was definitely worth the hassle. Amazing harmonies and a great sound. They covered a number of bands that were quite impressive like Metallica, Nirvana, and the Eagles; like back to back and completely seamless. Very cool and they played until around 10:45. Better than a lot of bands so thumbs up to ZBB.
Keep 'em where they live...
