With March browns and BWO's blanketing the river, fish should be looking up right? Apparently they didn't get the memo.
A few fish are coming up but it's not as good as one would think with all that food on the surface. Yesterday the conditions were absolutely perfect until about 3 o'clock. We had clouds, absolutely no wind, fish were eating under the surface but when the bugs started popping, the noses didn't follow. It's kind of bazar. I realize the river is up and a little off-colored but the channels are perfect and visibility isn't that bad. More weather coming in this weekend. Maybe that will get 'em moving.
By the way, there's now 1,000cfs more flowing into Canyon Ferry than coming out. It' still at 70%.
Keep 'em where they live...
