The 2016 Waterfowl Season came to a close on Wednesday with a decent late finish. Here's Cutter getting the jump on Annie as another greenhead comes crashing down. The main stem of the river hunted pretty well but we really didn't know what we were missing until someone set up in the channel behind us. The last couple hours of the last day was pretty ridiculous for them as we heard them shoot at least a couple boxes of shells. I guess, some days you get the honey hole and some days you get the bees.
Today we found the honey on Holter Lake--lots of perch but with that many folks out there taking advantage of the warmer days, you gotta wonder how long it will last. I mean, that lake's got to run out eventually right?
