Growing up, my dad spent a lot of time working, trying to get ahead just like many other dad's did. He was very active in my development of loving the outdoors but he wasn't the only one. There was another very special person that was there all the way. She spent hours helping us prepare for hunting openers and even took us out fishing when my dad couldn't. Not being able to afford all the cool gear, she would sew us our hunting vests and packs and anything else we needed. In the summers, she would take days off and bring my brother and I to the lake and go wade fishing for bass. She loved the outdoors too and we enjoyed having her with us as much as we did anyone else.
When my dad had a stroke, much of that ended with all the responsibilities of taking care of him along with my one-year old brother. My mom was the rock and although we didn't always recognize that, she was. She did an amazing job of keeping it all together and I just want to say thank you, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and I love you. Take care Mom. Hope you have a great day.
Keep 'em where they live.
