Blue Tongue

It's been snowing like a mother yesterday and this morning. I have to go out in it again for my last of three days guiding this week...last booked day of the season!! And then on to shooting more things. This weather should be good. Yesterday there were tons of ducks and geese on the river and it should be good for deer and elk too.

The fishing was pretty good too with fish coming up all over the river to BWO's. The other boats went to the dam and although the fishing was good, the wind was a-blowin. We started at Craig and took at the Dearborn. We had dead calm most of the day. We also stopped at the lodge for lunch. Beautiful. The only problem is I got stuck on the Dearborn ramp....

I went out the other day looking for birds in my spot by Cascade. There were dozens of deer laying dead all over the place. I talked to a FWP person at a game check station and she said she thought it might be blue tongue...that sucks. There are still a few deer left but nothing like there had been.

Keep 'em where they live...
