Yeah, I'm a big Packer fan and I was given two tickets to yesterday's game. (Thanks again Jill.) Since Jill couldn't go, I took my little brother, Tom. It was his first game. Usually I'm a jinx when it comes to Packer games so I get a little nervous when I go. I think I've gone to six games and the Packers have lost four of them. In '98, they lost to Chicago at Lambeau on a last second field goal miss. It was the first loss to Chicago at Lambeau in almost a decade. The next year they got killed by the Bears. In 2008, it was Favre playing for the Vikings at the Metrodome and an absolute ass whooping by the ex-Packer. Yesterday, not so much. The Packers thankfully won 24 - 21 so I can now feel comfortable attending again.
My computer has been wiggin out on me for the last few days so I haven't been posting much plus I'm in MN until the weekend. The weather has been crazy cold for a couple weeks now in MN so there are already fish houses out on the lakes. I honestly can't remember ever pulling our fish house out until well after Thanksgiving when I was a kid. Sometimes not even until Christmas break. And for those who still question if it's like "Grumpy Old Men?" It is.
Montana has been warming up a bit. With that last blast of coldness, all the ponds and small creeks locked up and I'm not really sure what happened to the ducks. I'm thinking there's still another wave to come through. I saw a post from Pete Cardinal last week where they dusted their limit of geese in less than 25 minutes so I guess they're still around. With the warmer weather, they should be hanging around until the next cold blast and hopefully, the next wave. I'll be waiting.
Keep 'em where they live...
