You ever wonder what a trout eats? These guys. We stopped off to use the bushes yesterday and must have brought a couple bugs with us into the boat. There was a little water pooled up on the lid of my storage compartment and saw them swimming around. The one on the right is a baetis nymph or a BWO and the one on the left is a March brown nymph. With high sun and no need to come up, fish will eat the crap out of these nymphs and they will hatch but with all the subsurface food, why come up?
Keep 'em where they live...
