Ooh' Whee! After that last blog I figured I'd better lay low for a little while...Actually, there was quite the debate on face book between a few of us and I would say all and all, it was quite respectful. Nope, we didn't solve all the world's problems but I think it does illustrate a couple thought processes that come into play when debating these types of things. You can't blame someone for believing in something grounded in religion or in their interpretation of the Constitution. Even when discussing the differences between republican and democratic approaches to address issues, I think they both have merit and over time, some shake out to work better than others. I truly believe there are folks on each side of the isle that want the best for everyone. However, and I mean this with no disrespect, I think a lot of times people get caught up in the, "what's in it for me," and "how do I benefit now," habits of thinking. I think by having these debates there is potential for growth and if people think I'm an ass for bringing it up, then don't read. However, if you want to keep on reading, I promise to not make this a political blog especially now that it's 60 degrees and there are plenty of rivers to explore and things to do in the here and now.
Having said that, I finally busted my recording equipment out so for the last few days that weren't so nice, and since I've been waiting for my new fly tying vise, I've been doing a little jammin here on Main Street in Wolf Creek getting some demo stuff ready for a promo CD. Along with some other projects that might be in the works, it's a good way to keep busy and it's quite therapeutic. If I could make a little money on the side, that would just be a nice bonus.
Fishing tomorrow...keep 'em where you live y'all.
