Where Have All the Good Bugs Gone?

I fished with my good friend Mark Tinsky yesterday. We had this idea that with the weather and conditions, we would only chuck streamers and throw big ugly dries and look for heads on the lower river...the problem with this scenario is that without bugs, the fish aren't on the banks and they aren't looking up. We fished for about four hours and had a few HUGE fish chase streamers but they wouldn't commit and only actually landed one throwing dry flies. We saw one PMD, a few olives and a couple caddis and only one fish up...bring on the bugs!!!!
