Just the tiniest of things and never ever fly fished before but little Lebell did her thing the other day and landed a nice brown trout...
The wind has been wicked lately. Well, all spring if you ask me. We were talking about it the other night with a couple guys that have been doing this for a while and I asked them about it and the comment was, "It's not windier than usual. You're getting older..."
I'm not sure about that, (I mean--I am getting older but I'm still in pretty good shape,) but what I do know is that you can't do anything about it. Fish still eat and you just got to deal. We actually did get into some rising fish the other day and my guy, who has never thrown a dry fly, stuck a really good brown right along the bank in about 6 inches of water. The bugs are here and the fish are eating. The wind will blow but it's all a part of it.
Keep 'em where they live...
