This was the seen from a storm that rolled in a couple weeks ago that touched off an insane stretch of fishing out here on the Mo. It was a much needed break from the heat; although the heat this year was nothing. What it did was brought the water temps down a few degrees and brought the water levels up just enough to wash down some of the weeds. It's still weedy though so be prepared.
The last couple days have been kind of a mixed bag. Fish are up but incredibly picky. They will still eat the big stuff underneath but it's a little spotty. The good thing is we have another system coming through. Today is supposed to be sunny with a high of 79. Tomorrow is cloudy and rain with a high of 52, which will last a few days. We'll see what this brings. If I was going to guess, I think tomorrow should go off with every fish in the river looking up at pseudos. When they're hungry, they will eat bigger bugs. Just sayin.
