Thirty-five Miles!

Finally, 35 miles of river to fish in Montana...for now. All the other rivers are blown out with the exception of the Beaverhead, which gets pretty tight with wade fishermen. The Mo is still very high but at least it's fishing the entire 35 miles of Blue Ribbon trout water. The Mo below Hauser Dam is fishing well too, which means at least the guys that have the license/certifications can fish it moving some of the guides off the lower stretch spreading people out. And because of the high water, there are no recreation floaters. It's pretty much all fishing dudes. Boats get spread out and fish are happy. Yes, happy. That means they are eating...bugs, not just worms. We crushed 'em in spots yesterday throughout the canyon on caddis stuff.

We also added this long-nosed sucker to the wall of fame. I've had people catch suckers before but never a long-nosed sucker. They are even uglier than the common ones.

Keep 'em where they live...
