Nathaniel and I hit the Lower Madison yesterday for an afternoon float...holy. When you could see your fly on the water the fishing was pretty damn stellar. They were eating for sure; midges and Royal Wolfs and some on streamers. If you're a hard core angler, the cold temps have arrested the run-off a little down around the Bozeman and Livingston areas and there are very few boats on the water so get on out there. Fish are happy and there are bugs.
Keep 'em where they live...
