One Tag Left to Fill

The big game season has come to a close, (with the exception of the shoulder season for cow elk in some areas,) and I was fortunate enough to fill my tags...all but one. There is definitely still some good duck hunting to come but with the weather warming up again as it often does, the ducks will get some rest as Patrick, Jill and I will focus on that last tag; the Christmas tree tag.

In Montana and a lot of the states in the West, you can buy a permit to cut your own trees on National Forrest lands. It's only $5 and it gets us out hiking around  and looking for that perfect tree. It's a lot like hunting and we look forward to it every December. Good times in the mountains.

By the way, we do our own taxidermy work on theses guys...

Keep 'em where they live...
