Blown Out

I need to get my good camera back out. The phone just doesn't do it justice. This male blue heron sitting on a beaver lodge below Craig, MT was pretty cool looking.

I went away from the usually routine for this time of the year because the Lower River was completely blown out after the storms from two nights ago. It's the first time I've seen that happen at this time of the year on the Mo. It wasn't the Dearborn or any other major tribs kicking mud in either. I'm thinking it was the run-off in the areas that they are blasting rocks above the highway. Either way, the Mo was pretty muddy from about a mile above Mt. Palace down but cleared up by the afternoon. Kind of weird.

Keep 'em where they live...
